Sunlight is a mixture of seven different colors while laser light is always the same color (monochromatic). Sunlight is disordered while laser light is a directional (coherent) light. Sunlight is not parallel while laser beams are parallel.

Laser treatment is relaxing and many people fall asleep. Increased pain can sometimes be experienced from 6 to 24 hours after a treatment has finished. In the case of a long-term condition, the pain may increase after several treatments. This is not dangerous and passes in either a few hours or days.

When the laser light hits the skin, the blood moves out to the sides, whereupon an area becomes more blood-free, thus significantly increasing the penetration of the laser. Other factors that come into play are the laser’s output power, whether it is superpulsed or not, the laser’s technical design and treatment technique.
